The second chapter will use the history to look ahead to AUICK's next steps. First, the chapter will provide a brief summary of the lessons learned, about the urban administrative process and the condition of Asia's cities. These lessons have also been developed somewhat more fully in various sections discussing the studies and activities from which the lessons were learned. Following the review of the lessons, the report will look to the future, by raising four questions, and provide some brief discussion of those questions. Finally, the chapter will suggest a pilot strategy for the near future, and will review the suggestions made by AUICK's International Advisory Committee.
