Capacity-building
for senior officials of
AUICK Associate Cities

1.1.
AUICK Associate Cities Conference
The conference is to be held
every four
years to obtain their political
commitment to population issues especially within their cities and to
set a four-year program goal, including the establishment and
strengthening of AUICK
Associate Cities (AACs) Network.

1.2.
Workshop on Specific Theme
AUICK
annually organizes two workshops to improve the knowledge, awareness,
and understanding of senior city planners and administrators on
specific issues of population and urban development.

1.3.
Monitoring Visit
AUICK
staff members visit each AAC every year to monitor the results of
trainings and to observe how administrators have applied what they
learnt in trainings.

Others
From
time to time AUICK holds international conferences and special seminars
on appropriate topics.

AUICK conducts baseline/endline studies --
collection and analysis of
baseline/endline data on ICPD POA and MDGs
indicators.

AUICK develops case studies of good practices in implementation of
urban services.

AUICK annually publishes two issues of AUICK Newsletter "Asian Cities

AUICK publishes other relevant articles and information, including the
reports of inter-city comparative studies and success stories, in

A broad range of information, relating to urban problems, projects and
successes, which AUICK has been accumulating since its establishment,
